Vikings Dramatic in Win Over Bothell In another loser go home contest at KingCo, the Vikings crossed paths with the Bothell Cougars Tuesday at WHS. Bothell took an early lead 1-0 but Inglemoor responded in the bottom of the 2nd. Curtis Bafus worked a 10 pitch base on balls followed by a Josh Williams single. Both runners moved into scoring position on a WP and Brandon Edwards roped a single to left to plate both Bafus & Williams. Starting pitcher Gavin Harris continued to battle and kept the Vikings in the lead. Inglemoor added a run in the 3rd when Bafus launched a ball into the trees in left. The Vikings went up 4-1 in the 4th when Edwards singled in Lucas Wimmer who had doubled. Bothell wasn't done though and scored 2 on a couple base hits and sloppy ball maintenance. In the 6th Bothell tied the game with a HR and managed 2 more runs to go up 6-4 and were seemingly in control. True to their nature the Vikings fought back in the 6th and moved a run closer when Josh Seefeld knocked in Wimmer. Willie Augustavo relieved Harris and pitched a scoreless 7th to keep the game at 6-5. Inglemoor came to the plate with determination. Leading off the inning was Blake Wilson who exploded on a 2-2 pitch driving it out of the yard to tie the game at 6. Bafus managed a walk and courtesy runner Dustin Bradshaw moved to 2nd on Holen's sac bunt. Williams second hit of the day put Bradshaw at 3rd. Senior Lucas Wimmer put things to rest with a driving blast to the wall in center scoring Bradshaw. The Vikings erupted as everyone piled on Wimmer at 2nd. The Vikings move on with their second last inning victory in as many days. They play Ballard for 3rd place at 4 pm Thursday at Woodinville.
