Inglemoor Clinches with Dramatic Win The Inglemoor Baseball Vikings visited Ballard this afternoon and the game moved quickly along. The Viks loaded the bases but were unable to score anyone in the 1st....a common theme this afternoon for Inglemoor who left runners in scoring position in 4 or the first 5 inning's. The Vikings pitching was left to junior lefty Spencer Trautmann. He was outstanding for the Vikings working through one threat in the 2nd with the help of a diving Scott Meyers whose play ended the inning. Trautmann pitch 5 solid innings allowing 3 hits until the 5th when a come-backer off the knee caused him to leave the game. The runner was eventually able to score the first run of the game despite solid relief pitching by Austin Hueter. Entering the 7th down a run the attitude kicked in. Scott Meyers delivered a sharp single to left after battling to a 3-2 count to start the inning. He moved over to 2nd on a long fly ball by Dickerson. Then with 2 outs and down to his final strike, senior 1st baseman Erick Raynes lifted the pitchers delivery deep and out of the yard giving the Viks a huge 2-1 lead. The otherwise quiet visitors side exploded to greet the big first baseman at the dish......Now up by 1, the Viks turned the game over to senior Trevor McMaster to finish it. 'McNasty' allowed one runner the reach base but had no more of it striking out the final two ending the game and preserving the Viking win
