Meuisi Leads Inglemoor over LW

Vikings  atop Crown

In the final game of the first run through the Crown division for Inglemoor found old nemesis Lake Washington visiting on a cold, wet evening at Valhalla. One of only two games to be played in Kingco this evening, the Viks wasted little time getting after the Kangs.  After starting pitcher Spencer Trautman stranded the LW lead off hitter in scoring position in the 1st, Inglemoor exploded for 6 runs in the bottom half of the frame. The big blow came off the bat of 3rd baseman Peter Meuisi who blasted a pitch high off the light pole in left with the bases full of Vikings for a Grand Slam HR. Conor Savage followed with a double and scored on a ground ball by Garret Vandiver.  In the 2nd the fireworks continued despite the late season football weather.  Marc Dickerson doubled and scored along with Nick Anderson when Scott Meyers laced a triple to the wall. Meuisi knocked Meyers and put the Vikings up 9-0 over the defending KingCo champs. Spencer Trautman worked a solid 3 innings despite being down most of the week with the flu.  'Trout' allowed 1 run on 3 hits while striking out 3 before turning the ball over to Dustin Doucette.  The junior right-hander warmed up after a couple Kang base hits and a run scored and 'Deuuuuuce' struck out the final 8 Kangs he faced.  LW mounted a comeback in the 7th on two uncharacteristic Viking errors, a couple walks and a gap shot & scored 5 runs.  Brendan Cook then struck out the final out to end the game preserving the Viks 10-7 victory. The win keeps Inglemoor 1 game ahead of Bothell in the Crown at 5-0 with the cross over games beginning Tuesday at Eastlake.
