Vikings Right Ship in Ballard Inglemoor visited Ballard at Whitman on Thursday in an important Game 2 of KingCo league play. Having struggled in their previous two games, this one would show the clubs character. The Vikings responded with a solid 16 hit attack, a great pitching performance and a strong 9-2 victory over the Beavers. Inglemoor scored in first with two runs coming off the bat of Top Gun candidate Adam Mosebar who hit a 2-run blast to score Connor Savage who had doubled. In the 4th Perry Pipkin and Savage singled. Mosebar stroked a solid liner to left and plated two more Vikings for a 4-0 lead. He too came around to score on Garrett Vandiver's 2 out single. Peter Meuisi enjoyed the return trip to Ballard hitting his 2nd towering home run in as many visits to Whitman in the 6th. The Viking scored two more in the 7th when Savage tripled home Pipkin who had collected his 3rd hit of the day. Kenny Holen stroked a liner plating the final Viking run.
Viking starting pitcher Emmett Maki looked very solid on the day. After allowing a 1st inning single, Maki settled in to allow just 1 more hit through the next four innings pitching 5 complete innings allowing 0 runs for the Win. Junior Lucas Wimmer followed throwing the 6 & 7th to close the door Inglemoor hosts 4-0 Sammamish Saturday
