Inglemoor Takes Eastlake Due to rain changes, the Inglemoor vs Eastlake game was moved from the Plateau to Valhalla Friday night. Luckily it stayed clear into the evening as the game took nearly 3 hours to complete with the Vikings coming out on top 9-7. Peter Mieusi scored in the top of the 2nd on a wild pitch and Eastlake answered with a run of their own in the bottom of the frame. The Viks responded with 4 in the 3rd on doubles by Connor Savage, Emmet Maki, Obi Taylor & Alex Morrow. Inglemoor scored three in the 4th when Blake Wilson doubled home Savage. The Wolves scored 2 more in each of the 3rd, 4th & 5th innings to stay within a run into the 7th. Connor Savage gave the Viks an insurance run with his 4th hit of the day scoring Tyler Beahan to put the Vikings up 9-7. Obi Taylor proved to be the difference for the Vikings in this one. The senior pitcher who had previously doubled home a pair of runs threw the final 3 innings. Taylor dominated the last 8 outs of the game - 5 via strike out - to get the Save. "Typical Obi" noted Coach McNaghten. "We have leaned on him for 3 years in tough spots. He is a gamer' he added. The win is the 3rd in a row for Inglemoor as the offense showed signs of its return. The victory keeps the Viks in the hunt and looking forward to the challenge of Redmond & Woodinville next week.
