Viks Get Win over Garfield

For about an hour and a half the weather broke and the Inglemoor field crews diligence paid off. The Viks were able to host a damp but feisty Garfield Bulldog team on Saturday at Valhalla. Despite some intermittent rain, some shoddy Viking defense and not our best day at the plate, Inglemoor was able to come out on top 6-4 for a much needed Divisional win.  Obi Taylor got the start for the Viks and after two errors behind him in the 1st putting runners in scoring position, he struck out the next two Bulldogs to end the threat. Garfield rallied for 4 runs in the 3rd on a couple singles and Viking errors. Emmett Maki took the hill in relief and shut down Garfield for 3+ frames. Obi Taylor and Blake Wilson each had a pair of RBI's for the Vikings. Lucas Wimmer and Tyler Beahan each had base hits in their first starts of the year. Senior Alex Morrow pitched a scoreless 7th to earn his 1st Save of the year
